We are getting ready for Summer 2018, and we have so many main camp and specialty camp sessions for you to choose from!
Specialty camps do all the same regular activities as main camp. Campers will enjoy big group games at recreation, crafts at the hut, canoeing and pontoon rides at aquatics, catching crawdads at the creek, aiming for bullseyes at archery and so much more! At each camp, campers attend two “theme time” group Bible studies and a worship every day. Speciality camps get all the same fun activities as main camp but with a smaller, tighter-knit group geared toward a special interest. Find the category that matches your camper’s personality in the guide below.
For the Littles
Mom, Dad & Me – This one-night family experience is often the first camp experience for littles ages 5-9! Let us introduce you to the campus, the activities, our lodging and the camp worship experience. Start family conversations about faith and Bible stories as well as get quality time together.
Primary Elementary – Littles go solo! Campers ages 7-9 spend their first three nights at camp on their own. Ever-present, caring counselors will play, learn and worship right beside their young campers while modeling Christian love.
Gamers of All Kinds
Board Game Camp – We will play TONS of games at Board Game Camp but mainly the indoor kind. If you like the community and competition of games, and also air conditioning, register for this new camp right now! Campers will explore a wide range of games that will focus on strategy building, forming alliances, looking for the hidden traitor and team work. Bring your favorite game, get ready to learn a few new ones, and brace yourself to an amazing week exploring Christ like community.
Outdoorsy Types
Aquatics – Aquatics was a hit last year and filled up quick! Go ahead and get your spot! All the Watersports fun but in the air conditioned lodges. Campers will enjoy skiing, wake boarding, knee boarding, tubing, canoeing, paddle boards, a float down the Buffalo River and more.
Watersports – Watersports camp is a Wilderness Adventure mainstay. Campers in this tight-knit community experience the outdoors by staying in our permanent canvas tents at the Wilderness campsite. Throughout the week, campers will spend time on the Tennessee River float down the Piney River, and zoom through the trees on our zip line and other high ropes adventure course elements.
TreeHouse – TreeHouse is Watersports without quite so much time on the river. Campers will bond over outdoor activities, including time on the low and high ropes course, orienteering, fire building, an off-site float trip, time on the Tennessee River and more. Campers will stay in our permanent canvas tents at the Wilderness campsite.
Fishing – Campers spend a whole week fishing on the Tennessee River and in local private ponds. In between times on the boat, campers participate in all the regular camp activities and stay in the lodges right on the river.
Hammocking – If you love to hammock in the woods, enjoy your time in God’s creation, and don’t mind waking up with the Sun, then this is the camp for you! Doing all the camp activities during the day and sleeping each night in our hammock shelter, you will form a tight-knit community that is never short on laughter, real talk, inside jokes, deep faith conversations, and relaxing reflective time.
Artsy Folks
Arts Camp – This camp is made for campers who love being artistic and creative! Our usual theme time fun will be supported with a greater emphasis on arts and crafts, such as painting, simple pottery, etc. Add in all the normal Lakeshore fun of swimming, beach and nature fun and so much more for a week to remember!
Worship & Music Arts – WAM Camp, as we like to call it, is for all those who are creative, enjoy music, and don’t mind being a little dramatic. Campers will create skits, sing songs, dance, and dabble in the visual arts. This is one high energy, song filled, goofy week that allows all of our creative campers the chance to learn new forms of art expression, share their talents, and enjoy all the typical summer activities.
