Lakeshore’s 70th Anniversary is upon us, and we are celebrating in all kinds of ways! We know not everyone will be able to make it to the 70th Anniversary Alumni Retreat, but we want to create a way for you to be included in the festivities.

Introducing Virtual Color Cup! Color Cup is an all-camp activity we play during the summer. Around here, summer evenings always include an all-camp activity, the only time of the day the whole camp is participating in the same activity. Color Cup is a crowd favorite. The camp is split into teams to earn points for different tasks. At the end of the game, the team with the most points wins the Color Cup.

The Virtual Color Cup is similar, except all the tasks will be done via social media, and you get to choose your color team. You may fit into all the categories, but pick the team for the camp experience you most feel connected to. The Green Team is for campers and retreat guests. The Blue Team is for permanent and summer staff. The Orange Team is for volunteer counselors, and the Red Team is for leadership and nurses. The game will culminate in an inter-generational version of the all-camp activity at the 70th Anniversary Alumni Retreat, where the winning team will be awarded a Color Cup.

How to Play:

1. Fill out the Color Cup Sign-Up Sheet and declare your team based on which group you feel most connected to as a Lakeshore alum*—camper/retreat guest, summer and permanent staff, volunteer counselor, leadership and nurses!
   *Family members who have no other connection to Lakeshore may choose whichever team they like.
2. Each Monday, Lakeshore will post the 5 ways a player may earn points for the week on Facebook and Instagram.
3. Points may only be earned for that week’s activities. Each week there will be a new set of activities.
4. Points for posts and comments will only be counted if both of the following hashtags are used:
   1. #lcrccolorwars
   2. #lcrc70thanniversary
5. During the 70^th Anniversary Alumni Homecoming Retreat, we will host an all-camp activity friendly for all ages. Guests will declare their color teams and compete in the final challenges for the color cup.
6. The official 70^th Anniversary Lakeshore Color Cup will be awarded at dinner on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
