Last year we celebrated seventy years of ministry on the Tennessee River. We debuted our Outdoor Classroom, upgraded the Waterfront, raised $100,000 for our campership fund, grew our camper attendance at both Lakeshore and Dayshore, and hosted the 70th Anniversary Alumni Homecoming Retreat for 230 of our friends. What a great year!
Despite all those wonderful achievements, something very important was missing. YOU! It is friends like you who make it possible for us to continue, improve and increase the work that we do. Each year, our Conference support dwindles, our Campership Fund needs increase, and the cost of doing business creeps up. Every year, we are squeezed tighter all while trying not to increase camper fees by more than absolutely necessary. We believe financial barriers should not keep a child from camp.

Now, in year 71 of ministry, we aim to continue improving and increasing our reach, ensuring more youth and adults have a safe place to build community, be themselves and grow in faith and leadership development.
Throughout the summer, we ask our campers to leave an evaluation of their camp experience. One of our 2019 senior high campers shared, “Lakeshore will have an impact on me for the rest of my life. I’m thankful for this place.” We know Lakeshore means a lot to you because you have been here, you have generously donated, and you are part of the family. We can feel you cheering us on with your support. Please consider cheering us on with a contribution that will positively impact our ability to do ministry for more than 2,200 summer camp youth and thousands of retreat guests this year, as well as fully fund our campership program. We are $13,000 from our Campership Fund of $115,000 being fully funded this year. Can we count on you to make sure we hit that goal?
