Fav. Bible verse(s): “The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1: 4-10

Why do you think camp is so important? I believe that camp is important because it is a place where children, youth, and adults can come and be themselves and have a place to escape from the ‘real’ world. It is a place that I have been coming to for as long as I can remember and has impacted my life so much, and I know that it has impacted so many others as well!

What are you looking forward to as a director? I always knew I wanted to work with children and youth, I always knew I wanted to work at Lakeshore for as many summers as I could, and I always have wanted to impact campers’ lives for the better and lead them closer to God. I believe that this is just another opportunity to be able to do just that! What I am looking forward to the most as being a director is the new opportunity to be able to impact campers’ lives that I may not have been able to even cross paths with at overnight camp on Lakeshore property. DayShore gives me the opportunity to meet campers where they are and minister to them in their own homes where they feel comfortable and safe, and it is an honor to be allowed to do so!
