Camp Joy and Camp Wonder offer the typical Lakeshore experience. Campers will participate in camp activities, sessions, and worship. It is important to note that there will be 3 to 4 counselors in each cabin, but we do not have the ability to provide one-on-one care for each camper. When deciding if this is a good fit for your camper, please consider the following:
- Campers should be willing and able to follow basic safety skills, including but not limited to, staying with their group, following verbal directions from counselors and staff, and exhibiting no aggressive behavior.
- Campers are expected to have appropriate moral behavior.
- Campers should require little to no help with hygiene routines (showering, toileting, dressing, etc.).
- How will staff communicate with your camper? If a communication device is used at home, we encourage it at camp.
- Campers will sleep and eat in a community setting.
In order to create the most positive camp experience we can, we ask that you give us thorough information upfront. We understand that each individual has different needs, and we do our absolute best to accommodate each of our campers. If you have further questions or would like to discuss your campers needs with us, please call the office at (731) 584-6102
