Types of Giving Funds
Campership
We believe that every kid should have the opportunity to attend camp regardless of their family’s financial situation. Every year, we fully scholarship the Camp Hope series, and many additional campers attending a variety of camps. This amounts to over $100,000 in campership needs annually.
Annual
The annual fund is an unrestricted giving fund for operational costs for Lakeshore. In order to keep fees as low as possible, we operate with a gap in funding between revenue and expenses. This gap is made up by gifts from generous donors.
The annual fund allows us to be flexible and meet the needs of the cost of running camp, which may include materials, equipment, salaries, and more. Gifts made without choosing a fund will go to the annual fund to be used for the most pressing needs at camp at the time.
Growth/Building
The growth/building fund is an option for donors to choose when we are running a special campaign for larger camp-building projects and upgrades. During seasons when this option is available, we will provide specific information about the projects we are working on.
