Older Elementary Retreat
This retreat is designed for 3rd through 6th graders to get out of the typical routine and into God’s creation. We hope to challenge not only every student, but the group as a whole. Our goal is for each person in attendance to deepen their relationships with God, learn more about others at their church, and build bridges to other faith communities across the Tennessee Western Kentucky Conference.

For Church Leaders
Each group is asked to provide adult chaperones to stay in the cabin with their students and fully participate in the retreat by attending interest groups, leading discussions, supervising free time, and participating in other scheduled activities.
- Chaperones must be at least 18 years old and 4 years older than the oldest student they are supervising
- Groups are required to have at least two non-related, non-cohabitating adult chaperones
- For housing, there must be 1 adult chaperone of the same gender for every 6 students.
- If you have less than 3 campers of one gender another chaperone of the same gender is required.
- Example: If your group has 10 female students and 2 male students; you will need 2 female chaperones and 2 male chaperones.
For questions or concerns about this updated chaperone policy, please contact Jeanie at jeanie@lakeshorecamp.org or 731-584-6102.
Registration Information
We are only able to accept students who attend with a church or other faith community for Lakeshore programmed retreats. Any individual wanting to attend this retreat is encouraged to find a local UMC or faith community that will be attending the event. If you need, we can provide a list of churches in your area to connect with.
Though we are only accepting students who attend with a church or other faith community for Lakeshore programmed retreats, we are asking participants to register individually through our CampBrain program. Church leaders will no longer have to collect all the registrations; instead, you are invited to share this link with your students and all chaperones to register. This will enable our medical staff to serve each participant better.
Regarding payment, registrants can either pay individually with a credit card or, if the church is covering the fee, there will be a place for you to insert a discount code*.
