Announcing 2020 Summer Staff!

We want to thank you all for patiently waiting for this announcement. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we had to push back the hiring of our summer staff and adapt the interview process so we could still practice social distancing. We had many amazing applicants, but unfortunately, we cannot hire them all. We are excited to announce the 2020…

2019 Fall Campaign

We have ourselves a fixer-upper! After 50 years of doing ministry in the Kibbons Conference Center with thousands of youth and adults singing songs, playing games and worshipping together, it could use an upgrade. This #GivingTuesday we are focused on giving the porch a facelift. The porch has long been a place of community building–with old friends and new engaged…

Legacy of Lakeshore!

Last year we celebrated seventy years of ministry on the Tennessee River. We debuted our Outdoor Classroom, upgraded the Waterfront, raised $100,000 for our campership fund, grew our camper attendance at both Lakeshore and Dayshore, and hosted the 70th Anniversary Alumni Homecoming Retreat for 230 of our friends. What a great year! Despite all those wonderful achievements, something very important…

It wasn’t until my sister, Dorothy, became a staff member in 2010 and asked me to be a camper again that…

Third Generation Family: Sue Harvey

My love affair with Lakeshore began in the summer of 1967. I had just finished third grade and I rode to Eva with my Momma to pick up my brother who had just spent his first week at camp. He had had such a great week and so much fun that I wanted to stay, so when we got home,…

Fourth Generation Family: Hannah Murry Reed

Lakeshore became a place of fun, rest, and community for me the summer between 2nd and 3rd grade. I was so proud to go somewhere that meant so much to my mom, Nita Crump Murry,  and grandfather, Sam Crump. I immediately felt like the ground was Holy and so very special. I went to Lakeshore year after year and would…
